ITINERARY FOR FUTURE CLASSES

“One-week” course format will be offered again in 2007 with a four day format (especially for those who have to travel) The Dates for the one-week format are:

(NOTE:  4 – 5-hour days (complete in NASN cert in one week.  Same material / pre-req’s as the four week / 1-day per week schedule above.  Additional classes may be added based on demand and based on an individual group or club’s request to schedule ten (10) or more people).

The NASN is highly regarded in the sports nutrition and dietetics fields as a leader in sports nutrition licensing. All students are required to complete the NASN home study course prior to the date of the workshop to review knowledge of the topics that will be covered on the board exam.   Recommended study time: minimum 1 month (depending on prior experience and education.) In order to be licensed through the National Association of Sports Nutrition the following criteria must be met:

1. At least two years experience as a certified health professional directly involved in nutritional counseling, health promotion or healthcare or concurrent enrollment in a NASN/NPTI Colorado approved personal training certification course. If you do not meet these prerequisites consider first obtaining your personal training certification through our special certification options(click).

or

2. An associate or baccalaureate degree in nutrition or equivalent science/health degree and one year experience as a certified health professional directly involved in nutritional counseling, health promotion or healthcare. (click here for NASN recommended degree programs in sports nutrition)

or

3. An advanced professional degree in a healthcare field that incorporates a four year degree with sufficient science and nutrition hours.  (click here for NASN recommended degree programs in sports nutrition)
